Why SAT prep apps fail without spacing
Doing 500 random questions feels productive. Without scheduling revisits, you confuse familiarity with mastery. The SAT rewards question types you can retrieve cold — not ones you recognise after seeing the explanation.
Month 1: Map the test, not your ego
Baseline score, error log, topic list. Split time by weakness and section weight. Vocabulary and grammar rules need retrieval in sentences, not isolated lists.
Month 2: Timed sections as practice tests
One timed Reading & Writing module and one Math block weekly minimum. After each: closed-book write-up of what you missed and why. Schedule revisits on those items.
Try RevuAutomate SAT review intervals
Revu schedules Math and R&W topic reviews so missed question types resurface before test day.
View on App Store →Month 3: Full tests, then repair
Full digital SAT practice every 10–14 days. Final ten days: no new topics — mixed retrieval, sleep, and light review. Cramming math formulas the night before produces blanking, not brilliance.
Sample weekly load
- 3× 45-min skill blocks (weak topics + retrieval)
- 1× timed section
- 1× error-log review session
- Daily 10-min vocab/grammar retrieval
Score jumps follow the questions you missed twice on purpose — not the ones you guessed once and forgot.
